4th annual conference of the Natural Resources and Local Economy Chair

The Natural Resources and Local Economy Chair is organising its 4th annual conference at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Administration in Metz on 12 and 13 June 2025, to bring together researchers to present and discuss theoretical and empirical work dedicated to the economics of natural resources.

The conference will also host round-table discussions where specialists will share their views on contemporary applied issues.

We will also have the pleasure of welcoming Simon Porcher, professor at Paris Dauphine University, to present the work on his book ‘La fin de l’eau’, published by Fayard in 2024.

If you would like to propose a paper, a call for papers is currently underway, with a submission deadline of 16 March 2024.

All contributions, whether theoretical or empirical, in economics applied to environmental or energy issues are welcome. PhD students are also encouraged to send a contribution. Each accepted paper will be discussed by a conference participant in order to allow quality exchanges.

A special issue of International Economics will follow the conference.
