BETA members are delighted to welcome researcher Theophilos Papadimitriou (Democritus University of Thrace, Greece) to Strasbourg from 17 January to 14 March 2025 as part of a Visiting Scholar Fellowship MAKErS.
Theophilos Papadimitriou received the Diploma degree in Mathematics from the AUTh, Greece, the Master degree from the University of Nice, France, in 1996 and the PhD degree from the AUTh in 2000. In 2001, he joined the Department of Economics, DUTh, where he, currently, holds the position of Professor. Dr Papadimitriou co-authored more than 130 journal papers, conference papers and book chapters combined. Theophilos Papadimitriou gave invited talks at the University of Michigan, Temple University, University of Strasbourg, and the European Central Bank. His current research interests include complex networks, machine learning, and data analysis.
Specialist in Machine Learning, he will be working with the members of BETA’s MACRO research group on issues relating to collaboration between DSGE methods and Machine Learning methods.
