Research day in tribute to Richard R. NELSON

The 2025/06/06
All day
Event details :
In order to pay tribute to Professor Richard R. NELSON, who died on 28 January 2025, and to make his work better known to young researchers, the members of BETA’s Creativity, Science, Innovation (CSI) research group are proposing to organise a research day to evoke and discuss Richard R. NELSON’s many contributions to this field of research.
Richard Nelson is (along with Sidney Winter) one of the founders of evolutionary (or neo-Schumpeterian) economics. He was also one of the pioneers of the economics of science and innovation in the early 1960s. For 60 years he has been recognised for his major contributions to this field of research, whether on the economic role of intellectual property, innovation systems, the links between innovation and capitalism, etc.
Programme and further information will be available shortly.
