Projection-meeting at the planetarium with Philippe Gillig
28 February 2025

On Friday, April 4, 2025, at 8pm, the jardin des sciences invites you to the screening-meeting “Opération Lune : le faux documentaire“ (Operation Moon: the fake documentary).
On July 20, 1969, two billion people watched man’s first steps on the Moon. But were these historic images genuine? Throughout his delirious investigation, William Karel puts forward hypotheses, deliberately hijacking the images. This documentary proves that the first steps on the Moon were filmed in a studio. An indispensable work for reflecting on the power of images.
Projection followed by a discussion with Philippe Gillig, lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences, researcher at BETA, University of Strasbourg.
In collaboration with Le Lieu Documentaire
