ITIs and Labex

A Laboratory of Excellence (Labex) is one of the instruments of the program for investment in the future designed to support research by a group of teams on a given scientific theme. The Interdisciplinary Thematic Institutes (ITI) of the University of Strasbourg aim to bring together researchers in an interdisciplinary perspective, building links between different actors with complementary disciplinary skills around the same theme.

The members of BETA are involved in two Labex supported by the University of Lorraine since 2011/2012, and in three ITIs selected by Unistra in 2020.
