30 November 2024
TweetIssue 49 of Savoir(s), the University of Strasbourg’s information magazine, published in November 2024, explores the theme of living together, particularly from the angle of diversity and the principle of equality. Over the pages, it highlights various research themes, training programmes, university facilities and professional and personal commitments in relation to this theme.
Among the many contributions to this issue, we have selected those from BETA members:
- In the article entitled ‘L’Institut du travail ausculte les inégalités professionnelles’, p. 10, Tiphaine Garat, an employment lawyer, and Michèle Forté, a lecturer in economics and a member of BETA, discuss the report ‘Les résultats des négociations sur l’égalité professionnelle entre les femmes et les hommes en France: L’exemple de dix entreprises de l’Eurométropole de Strasbourg’, commissioned in 2020 by the International Labour Office (ILO), to the production of which they contributed.
- In the article entitled ‘Les chercheuses, moins financées que leurs confrères ?’, p. 11, Professor Patrick Llerena looks at gender bias in research, and more specifically gender bias in the allocation of funding.
- In the article entitled ‘Gender stereotypes at school and in the academic world’, p. 13, CNRS researcher Magali Jaoul-Grammare surveys students and secondary school pupils about gender stereotypes.
