The Bureau d’Économie Théorique et Appliquée (BETA) and University of Strasbourg are organising the annual workshop “The Organisation, Economics and Policy of Scientific Research” at BETA’s venue in Strasbourg. This worksoph will take place in April 2025.
The organisers aim to attract contributions from young and established researchers on topics related to the organisation, economics and politics of scientific research.
Contributions are invited on (but not limited to) one or more of the following topics:
- Organisation of research activities in universities, PROs, and private R&D labs
- The evaluation of science policy
- Science in the private sector and spillovers from scientific research
- Role of individual researcher characteristics in scientific research
- Science research networks and collaboration
- Scientific careers and mobility
- Creativity and novelty in science
- Selection of research fields or projects
- Research behavior and risk-taking
Submission Important Dates
- 6th January 2025: Deadline to submit previously unpublished papers or extended abstracts (min 3 pages) via EasyChair.
- 24th February 2025: Notification of acceptance
- 17th March 2025: Deadline for submission of full papers
