Title: “What metric for intergenerational justice?”
Abstract: Any theory of justice must propose both a principle and a metric. In the intergenerational context, this generates particular challenges. We will present the challenges facing the definition of a metric of justice that allows us to determine whether we are acting justly towards future generations. One of the difficulties is that our intergenerational behaviors and interactions are decisive in shaping future preferences.
