In October 2023, Alexandre Mayol, lecturer at the University of Lorraine, researcher at BETA and director of the RENEL chair, was interviewed by the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (EESC) in Paris about his research into progressive pricing for drinking water, following a referral to the EESC by the French Prime Minister.
